Why do we need to help colonies with supplemental vitamins and minerals in Winter?
Bees will utilize protein from their bodies in late winter or in times of durth. But this will also weaken the bees and degrade their immune systems. Nurse bees use amino acids to make bee milk and royal jelly. Amino acids are needed to allow bees to grow more rapidly to a healthier and stronger condition when pollen sources are degraded or not available. Amino acids are critical for queen and brood development.
Bees need vitamins and minerals that provide nutrients vital for bee health and to build strong healthy colonies for maximum honey production and pollination. When honeybees are producing brood and the vitamin resources are not available, bees are weakened by multiple stressors. Beekeepers need to help build weakened colonies and overwintered hives with supplemental vitamins and minerals that are not available in their weakened condition.
Honeybees meet their B-vitamin requirements mainly from the pollen they collect, which is not available in the winter months. Product’s Details
We sell this product in a 8 Fluid Ounces bottle for $25. It comes with the syringe to transfer the right amount of fluid to the sugar-water feed.
Instructions for application: Shake well before using. Using the included syringe, add one fluid ounce of this concentrate to one gallon of sugar-water mix. Then mix well and add to feeders. Keep tightly sealed between use.
Use cases: You can use Ron’s Super Bee Juice concentrate as a spray to calm bees as well as when honeybees are producing brood and available pollen sources are limited. You can also use it to help build up weak, over-winterized colonies, packages, nucs and swarms.

I live with my on family on a 16 acre organic farm near Ellinger, Texas where I practice with different compost designs, microbial brewing with compost and soil microbe philosophy, beekeeping, rainwater catchment, radio communication, growing native plants, herbs and medicinal plants by propagation from seeds and cuttings.
